MA is a personal narrative tribute to my mother, grandmother, and grandmother. This project is not just an exploration of memories from my youth, but a heartfelt attempt to recall the complex feelings of inheritance and the passage of time and age, capturing the love of my mother and Grandmother and how they have shaped me into who I am today.

 

The work combines archival images of my childhood, which serve as a visual anchor to the past, with contemporary photography, which captures the present moment, infused with deep reflections and intimate audio recordings.

 

These recordings record conversations with my mother and grandmother, exploring the challenges, difficulties, and times they experienced raising me. This dialogue between the past and the present evokes the fragility of memory - fading but still vivid, complex to reach, but vital.
