Hello! I’m Chen Nuo (陈诺), a name inspired by the Chinese word for “promise.” My parents chose it in hopes that I would embody honesty and truthfulness—both to myself and to others.

I am a multidisciplinary artist focusing on photography and illustration, experimenting with combining both mediums into new forms of digital art. Currently, I study Photography and Illustration at the Maryland Institute College of Art, where I continue to refine my visual language and experiment with different ways of presenting art.

My work draws inspiration from the natural world and the quiet, often overlooked moments of everyday life. I’m interested in how places and memories shape the way we perceive and connect with our surroundings. Through both photography and drawing, I document small details—light filtering through leaves, plants weaving into urban spaces, fleeting scenes encountered while traveling—preserving them as fragments of digital memory.

As I continue this journey, I strive to live up to my name and embrace the promise of authenticity in all I create. I’m excited to see where this path leads and to build a future that reflects my true self.
